Imagine an ancient village founded by the Templars between the Val D’Orcia and the Val di Chiana that has been a convent of the Olivetan monks, a hospice for pilgrims, and a farm. There are an art historian, Sabina de Gregori, and a chef, Sara Scaramella who have created Fondo, a restaurant in the heart of Abbadia Sicille.<\/p>\n
There are local producers and farmers, there is the vegetable garden, the orchard, and the bread rising, there are soups, dough, and burning embers. There is the table that is a living space in which food performs its function with honesty and with a single claim: to be simply good.<\/p>\n
